Allama Iqbal Lecture Series
The Allama Iqbal Lecture Series has been established with the generous support of the family of Mr. Abdullah Dadabhoy whose son, Mr. Abdul Ghani Dadabhoy, is a graduate of Oxford. It is delivered in partnership with St. Peter’s College and the LMH-Pakistan Initiative. It is named in honour of poet, philosopher and writer Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal and is an opportunity for scholars and policymakers of international repute to deliver lectures in Oxford on broad themes of Eastern philosophy. It serves to highlight prominent Eastern thinkers, such as Maulana Rumi, Ibn Arabi, Guru Nanak, Imam Ghazali, and Iqbal himself. The Allama Iqbal Lecture Series will introduce new perspectives to Oxford’s academic offering and acts as a meeting point for diverse ideas and thought. It draws on the broad, cosmopolitan, and universal outlook of Allama Iqbal and is therefore open to speakers from various disciplines including politics, economics, theology, philosophy, literature and international relations.
