Bhutto Graduate Scholarships for Students from Sindh 2025
The Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) is proud to launch the Bhutto Graduate Scholarships for students from Sindh, Pakistan. This transformative initiative, supported by the Government of Sindh, will enable gifted students from the province to pursue graduate studies at the University of Oxford. Consistent with OPP’s founding mission, this scheme directly addresses regional underrepresentation by creating a dedicated pathway for talented individuals from Sindh. Through this initiative, the OPP seeks to elevate aspirations, foster academic excellence, and strengthen the pipeline of future leaders from historically underserved regions.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Bhutto Graduate Scholarships,
applicants must:
Domicile: Be residents of Sindh, Pakistan, with a valid
Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and
Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) from Sindh.
Education: Have completed at least an
undergraduate degree from a public or private
university in Pakistan.
Programme Level: Have an admission offer in a
graduate (MPhil, Master’s) or doctoral (DPhil) program at
the University of Oxford.
Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously
availed any government-funded scholarships in Pakistan.




Financial Support
The Allocation
Each year, up to six scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants from Sindh. Out of six scholarships, three will be reserved for female candidates.
Award Amout
Full Scholarship, covering Tuition Fees & Living Expenses (including maintenance costs)
Duration
Awarded for one academic year, with potential for renewal based on the length of the student’s academic program
How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit their application for the Bhutto Graduate Scholarships by the closing date (expected in April 2026). The application should include:
- Secured admission at the University of Oxford in a graduate degree
- Completed Online Application on the official OPP website which will be made live in mid-March.
- Proof of Residency: CNIC and PRC of Sindh.
- Proof of Academic Achievement: Undergraduate degree and acceptance into a graduate program at Oxford.
- Supporting Documents: Applicants may be required to submit additional documents, including a personal statement outlining their academic goals and aspirations.
The OPP Scholarship Committee will review applications based on academic excellence and financial need, with a preference for those whose studies have direct relevance to the development of Sindh or Pakistan.
